The RM Booster meeting for June 2012 will be held on WEDNESDAY, June 6 at 7 P.M., in the RM Media Center. Parents of freshmen or incoming students are especially welcome.

Congratulations to the new RM Booster Club Officers, elected at the May meeting, and a big thank you for everyone's service during the prior year. The new Booster Board will take office before the June meeting.

2012 Brooks Family Scholarships To Be Awarded
Attention Senior Athletes! Booster Scholarship Applications Are Due Monday April 23, 2012. The RMHS Booster Club annually sponsors scholarships to seniors involved in RM Athletics in some fashion. Again this year, four scholarships of $750 each will be awarded to qualifying seniors. Applications are available in the RM Career Center or by clicking HERE. Submit five copies of the application to the sealed box marked "RMHS Booster Club Scholarship Applications" in the Career Center before 3 p.m. on Monday, April 23. Only those applications in the box before the deadline will be considered. The scholarship awards will be announced at the annual student awards program.

RM Booster Club Accomplishments 2010 - 2011
Ever wonder what the RM Booster Club does all year? Take a look at some of the things we have done this year!
Purchased team equipment and supplies for coaches that MCPS does not provide or fund, such as new lacrosse helmets, and new practice safety mats for cheerleading
Funded $40,000 renovations to the practice, baseball, and softball fields (ongoing) including the purchase of two water wheels.
Paid for athletic awards (letters, class numbers and certificates)
Helped fund the baseball and softball scoreboards being installed on the fields
Staffed the outdoor concession stand for fall and spring sports
Provided teams and other school groups the opportunity to staff concessions and make a portion of the profits for their organizations
Provided team and action photos along with RM special event photos through "Eye on the Ball"
Organized and staffed pot-luck dinners for fall, winter, and spring sports teams and parents
Provided and served refreshments for sports awards ceremonies
Sold a great line of spirit-wear to RM students, parents, alumni, and the community
Held successful fundraisers, including the spring mulch sale and the Mike Curtis Golf Tournament
Introduced Dodgeball as a fun new fundraiser
Provided financial support to RM's Post-Prom
Promoted sprit-night and cluster-night events at RM
Funded and presented $750 scholarships to four senior RM students involved in athletics
Provided financial support for teams' "senior day" ceremonies
Provided this website as an information resource for all things Rocket Athletics!
