Richard Montgomery High School serves a diverse population of approximately 2,000 students in grades 9 through 12. Our school is located in Rockville, Maryland, a suburb of Washington D.C.
2008-2009 Booster Club Membership
We're planning a great new RM athletic year, and we're counting on your support! Join the RM Booster Club! We're opening a new stadium and athletic complex this fall - and we're bringing back a popular and useful Booster benefit - reserved parking on football game days for Black and Gold Booster members! The Boosters have several membership levels and each has its benefits, such as season tickets, discounts on RM spiritwear, and specific team donations.

FALL Sports Tryouts! Tryouts for ALL FALL SPORTS begin on Saturday, August 16, at 9:00 a.m. in the RM gym. ALL prospective athletes MUST have ALL their forms ready to turn in on 8/16. The required Health Inventory form will require a medical exam if you haven't had one in over a year. You can find the necessary forms on this website. Look for "Athlete Documents" on the Documents page. If you are a new student or an incoming 9th grader, the "New Students" page is a great place to start.

Message from the Booster President
Welcome back to the new Richard Montgomery High School! We have a new Principal, new athletic facilities (including a state-of-the-art turf stadium field), and most importantly, a new sense of pride at Richard Montgomery. It is my hope that teachers, students, parents, and the administration share the renewed spirit that is happening at our school. It has been extremely difficult over the last few years for those athletes, coaches, parents, and fans who had to make sacrifices during the construction process. Our time has finally come! Each and every one of you has the opportunity to be a part of this exciting new beginning at our school.
Over the last few years, the Athletic Booster Club has been working under extremely challenging conditions. However, during that time, the club has managed to accomplish many things and has grown each year. More and more parents and alumni have joined our organization. We are very proud that we have been able to successfully support RM athletics without having a home field to call our own.
What have we accomplished? A few examples on how we helped Richard Montgomery and its students include:
- Raised funds to help enhance the funding that Montgomery County provides the athletic department (your tax dollars do not cover all the athletic department's needs)
- Provided scholarships to 4 student athletes in 2008, totaling $3000.00
- Sold RM "spirit wear" promoting school pride and spirit
- Helped fund the post-prom event in the spring
- Sponsored cluster games for the middle school and elementary school families in the community
- Held the first Annual Mike Curtis Open Golf Tournament (an alumni favorite!)
- Purchased championship banners for the new gym
- Provided team, individual, and action photos through "Eye on the Ball" photography
- Managed and staffed the concession stand at home athletic events
To continue growing and providing for your student athletes, we need your help. The Athletic Booster Club is the place to be during this exciting time. Join the club (see "Be a Booster" in the menu at the left), donate a few hours a year and get involved. It's a great way to meet other parents, coaches, alumni, and administrators at the school. The Booster Club meets once a month in the school cafeteria. Get on board and help us make Richard Montgomery a better place for your student.
